Culinary
Adventures Close at Hand
The Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas offer a wide
range of dining experiences. From the casual to the elegant, “blue-plate” specials
to four star restaurants, you can find them all within
a short distance from The Weller Haus.
We have many favorites, but these listed
below are consistent in their food and service delivery.
The York Street Café - Newport, KY
The York St. Café began
as a pharmacy in the 1880’s.
Now a four story building complete with the restaurant,
lounge, art gallery and private art studio, the restaurant
is a unique gathering place for dining, entertainment and
art. There are so many collectibles that your senses will
be overwhelmed. Owner Terry Cunningham claims it is the
best place to go for a first date—there’s so
much on the walls you’ll never run out of things
to talk about. The freshest ingredients are used in cooking
and the dishes are unique. But save room for desserts that
are made daily---they are delectable.
Virgil's Cafe - Bellevue,
KY
Virgil’s Café is locally owned casual gourmet featuring fresh local ingredients and seasonal wine parings. Situated in the heart of historic Bellevue, Virgil’s has established connections with local farmers and purveyor’s in the surrounding area. They have taken great care to seek out, restore, reuse and refurbish many of the items in the restaurant, kitchen and bar. Almost all of their items have been reclaimed from other establishments or forgotten warehouses. Their food is superb and will bring you back time and again. Check out a sample menu and make reservations online.
Mt. Adams Fish House and Teak Thai
Cuisine - Mt.
Adams, OH
If you’re looking for charm,
history and a view in an adorable neighborhood along with
some fantastic food,
then look no further than right across the river to either
the Mt. Adams Fish House or The
Teak Thai Cuisine Restaurant.
The chef’s are exceptional, the food is exquisite.
The BoatHouse, Montgomery Inn - Cincinnati,
OH
Another short jog across
the river and you’re at
the restaurant voted as one of the best places in America
for ribs! And you can’t beat the view either. Their
service is impeccable and attentive and the food is scrumptuous
fare. A landmark in Cincinnati, if you’re a rib lover
then Montgomery Inn is a meal not to be missed. Famous
patrons include Presidents Ford, Reagan, Bush and Clinton
as well as Andre Agassi, John Glenn, Neil Armstrong and
Elizabeth Taylor, to name a few! And don’t forget
another Cincinnati favorite---Graeter’s Blackraspberry
Chip Ice Cream on the way out!
Bellevue Bistro or Mrs. Teapots -

some light fare within walking distance? Check out Diane’s
Bellevue Bistro or newly opened Mrs.Teapots along historic
