Paintings, Photography, Sculptures and more The Cincinnati Art Museum at Eden Park is well known for its variety of exhibits from civilizations spanning the globe. One of the oldest museums west of the Allegheny Mountains, it contains more than 118 galleries filled with all sorts of visual arts including paintings, prints, sculptures, costumes and musical instruments from the last 5,000 years.
Although not as well known as the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Taft Art Museum offers beautiful art in a beautiful setting---and contains one of the greatest private art collections in the world. The house contains over 30 rooms for the Taft’s art collection—of which both the house and the art were donated to city of Cincinnati.
Cincy’s once grand railroad station, Union
Terminal,
has been turned into the area’s home of history. Inside
the half-dome structure are the Museum of Natural History & Science,
Cincinnati Historical Society’s Library, Cincy History
Museum, Children’s Museum and OMNIMAX Theater. Within
the Museum Center are displays showing the history of Cincy
and the region, as well as permanent and rotating displays
about the history of the world. Great use of today’s
technology with many interactive exhibits. |
